Volans Demo [2004]

| bio |
Relaxing and yet energetic rock from South-East Kansas. We're just some high school juniors and an eighth grader having fun hanging out and playing music in a boring town.
Volans was created late in the summer of 2003, with original members Adam, Andy, and Grant. After several practices were held in the attic of Adam's house, the band realized a drummer was much needed. Cyle joined the group soon after. Volans then proceeded to learn twenty or so cover songs and play their first concert in the back of Adam's yard only a couple months after their inception. With much support they began writing their own songs to please and entertain not only the local crowd, but hopefully eventually the world.
The name Volans (pronounced ) actually comes from the constellation "Piscis Volans" (The Flying Fish) created by Johann Bayer in 1603. Unfortunately, since the constellation lies near the south celestial pole, it is not visible to those living in the United States.
