| bio |
Lawrence, KS's Ghosty formed Jan. 2000 and has haunted the clubs of Lawrence (and a few other towns) ever since. With only one official release and a three-song demo recorded by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Cursive) under its belt, Ghosty has caught the attention of musicians like Astralwerk's Sondre Lerche, who refers to the band as a "U.S., ninetees, guitar-based alt-rock Prefab Sprout." Ghosty has opened for indie rock heavyweights like Spoon, Beulah, of Montreal and the Dismemberment Plan and also did a 15-date U.S. tour with Son, Ambulance (Saddle-Creek) in August 2002.
